Kinect 2 will read your lips |
Listed in: News Tags: kinect 2, kinect 2 megapixel rate, kinect 2 release date, kinect xbox loop

Hot on the heels of the announcement of a PC developed Kinect and Microsoft funding the Kinect for a series of industrial causes, rather than just PC games, it seems the Kinect 2 is in development and will be used with the XBox Loop.
The next generation of Kinect will have a higher megapixel rate (higher resolution) and will be able to detect emotional states. Now, weren't we promised the latter way back when Peter Molyneux developed that slightly creepy tech demo with the kid named Milo? Remember, back when it was called the Natal?
Anyway, according to inside sources at Microsoft the new version will be able to read lips of users and detect commands even without vocalising them. This will also be able to determine emotional states with facial recognition and even see which way the player is facing. Apparently the next Kinect will come bundled with a 360 or Loop or will be by itself for "core gamers"
The stats on the new Kinect are quite phenomenal. The depth sensors were originally only working at 30 frames per second with a 320x240 resolution due to USB connections, but the Kinect 2 has no problem with that now. "It can be cabled straight through on any number of technologies that just take phenomenall high res data straight to the main processor and straight to the main RAM"
Either way we won't see this tech functional till June next year when Microsoft makes the big announcement and we can all throw our hands in the air and be like, well maybe we should get a Kinect 2, because we didn't get a Kinect 1. I'm just waiting for their campaigns to be like is it Kinect 2 or Kinect To or Kinect Too...you know what I mean.

how sad is that more than 10 millions kinects sold but only lame games, it is a waste of time, sure good business for microsoft but a failure for the new experience they promised, and users still wait for AAA games
I dont care if kinect 3 can call 911 if you are in danger
