Killer Instinct Coming to XBLA? |
Listed in: News Tags: killer instinct, Microsoft, Rare
Microsoft has renewed the trademark on the old school fighter, Killer Instinct, as you can see on the PlayXBLA website. "We have either renewed or refiled a trademark application in various jurisdictions," the announcement reads. Of course, this could just be a protective legal maneuver, but many out there are hoping this means that we may see an HD version of Killer Instinct on Xbox Live in the future. Or even an entirely new Killer Instinct.
Killer Instinct was in every arcade back in '94 and also made its way to the SNES in '95. It also had a Game Boy version and a Killer Instinct Gold on the Nintendo 64. Microsoft acquired original Killer Instinct developer Rare back in 2002, so they now own the IP.
Would you like to see a Killer Instinct HD see the light of day? What about an entirely new Killer Instinct?
