The Star Trek game that's in the works will not only be a bit off a Mass Effect clone; it will also feature co-op as a major factor in the game. The friendship between Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock has ever been the center of the Star Trek original series, AKA Star Trek TOS to the fans, and the films that followed, so it makes sense that it takes front and center here. The guys making this game are calling it "the ultimate co-op experience."

"Kirk is this brash cowboy character, whereas Spock is the exact opposite. And when you break down Star Trek to those elements, you had to make a co-op game," executive producer Brian Miller says. "There was no other game we could possibly make."
