Irrational Games Offers Seasons Greetings |

Irrational Games has sent out a little Season's Greetings card this holiday season featuring artwork from their upcoming game, BioShock Infinite. It depicts what appears to be a younger version one of the two main characters, Elizabeth, and her birdlike robotic captor, Songbird.
In the game, you will be trying to rescue the now-adult Elizabeth from the dangerous sky-city of Columbia, but the both of you will be pursued by her former captor, Songbird. Songbird was programmed to be like a super-babysitter for Elizabeth and once she escapes the robot goes into "abusive spouse" mode (according to IGN, not me) and will stop at nothing to get her back.
It's cool to see how game developers manipulate their artwork to create things like this. Who knows, this artwork may not have existed otherwise. Back in the day, the tabletop company I worked for used to send out real, paper Christmas cards (remember paper?
) with new, exclusive artwork for the holidays and I still have one somewhere.
This reminds me of those Dr. Who Christmas Specials; nothing says "Season's Greetings" like giant killer robots, indeed.
BioShock Infinite will be released on June 1, 2012.
