Infinity Ward: CoD haters keep us in check |
Listed in: News Tags: Activision, call of duty, Infinity Ward

Even though they have the "best game of all time," Infinity Ward likes to see what Call of Duty haters are saying.
"We may have the number one selling game. We may have, at times, the number one most played game," said Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling. "o it's very easy to sit back and say. 'We've done our jobs perfectly. We have the best game ever created. Look at the numbers.'"
The Call of Duty series is constantly selling millions upon millions of copies with each yearly release. It's hardly the best game of all time -- or even the best shooter -- but we'll let Mr. Bowling stroke his own ego.
But then you can get online and have people kick dirt in your face constantly every day about anything that they may not like about the game. It allows you to have a gut check and a perspective that this is where we still need to go. This is work that we still need to do," he finished.
Check out what Infinity Ward has to say about the natural progression of Call of Duty.

They're talking like the devs who are out to make their first sequel, after this many games just get it right. This sin't even a sequel anymore.

the treyarch games are bad but the IW games have been great.
The cod games are the best fps games atm. they make the most money, have the most players, are the most fun and are played all the time.
just because a couple of people prefer bf and a load of crowd following idiots on the internet agree because its cool to hate cod atm (that'll change once bf3 comes out and they end up on mw3) doesnt make cod crap.

As JFK once said "Keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer." well, if that makes at least a little bit of sense... in my mind I'm thinking "close" as "listen(more)" and whatnot... nobody is perfect.
