Even without the specific numbers, it's fairly easy to judge this if only based on the fact that the game servers are bogging down from the sheer weight of users.

Fortunately, though, we need not rely on mere conjectures. The numbers are out, and it only confirms what we've already known: Homefront is big.
According to VGChartz, not only did the game sell 375,000 on day 1. By the end of week 1, it's already sold a whopping 850,000 units worldwide! That's just about a quarter shy from a million units!
Most of the game copies sold, so it's also been said, were for the xbox 360 console, taking 2/3 of the marketshare easily. The remaining number of units sold were for the PC and PS3 versions.
Homefront is expected that the game should surpass the 2 million mark by the end of this summer.

It was a let down, but not a complete disaster. I was disappointed for sure, because everything could have been so much better. Probably an 8/10
