Halo 4's Flood Mode is a twist on the old Infection game type from previous Halo efforts. There's a post over on Halo Waypoint that has the details, but to summarize it's a "round-based, ten-player game." At the beginning of each round, two random players will spawn as Flood and the other eight will be Survivors. The Survivors will be the standard Spartan with a handgun and shotgun, while the Flood will move super fast and only have melee attacks. Anny Survivors killed by the Flood will become Flood, and the round ends if there are any Survivors left at 3:00 or if everyone is turned into the Flood.

Here are the medals you can earn in this mode:

• Flood Conversion - Convert a Spartan to Flood
• Alpha Conversion - Convert a Spartan to Flood as an Alpha
• Infector - Kill 2 Spartans without dying
• Carrier - Kill 3 Spartans without dying
• Juggernaut - Kill 4 Spartans without dying
• Gravemind - Kill ALL Spartans without dying
• Flood Kill - Kill a Flood
• Flood Kill Assist - Assist in killing a Flood
• Flood Hunter - Kill 4 Flood without dying
• Flood Survivor - Kill 6 Flood without dying
• Flood Exterminator - Kill 10 Flood without dying
• Last Man Standing - Be the last surviving Spartan
• Final Conversion - Kill the last surviving Spartan
• Flood Victory - Contribute to the Flood total conversion of all Spartans
• Ancient One - Survive the entire round as a Flood and convert at least one Spartan
• Clever - Survive the entire round as a Spartan
