The Halo franchise is said to be a $3 billion whopper, and now Microsoft's Phil Spencer says that Halo 4 is "the most important entertainment product in the company" and when asked about the cost of the project and whether it was the most expensive one they've ever had, he said, "Absolutely. Nothing's even close."

Spencer didn't get specific, but the number that has been previously thrown around is $60 million, much of which goes into marketing.

For some Halo news that's more fun, Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn episode 4 is out now and it features Master Chief. Finally!
