Valve has released some of the concept art possibly created by Valve's Andrea Wicklund for Half-Life 2: Episode 3. While most are saying that if another Half-Life ever gets made it will probably be called Half-Life 3 and not Half-Life 2: Episode 3, one might expect that some of the ideas in these pictures may make it into the game.

And what kind of ideas are we looking at? For one thing, it was going to be cold based on the concept art. We see a lot of snow and Alyx Vance and others wearing a variety of cold (-ish) weather gear. There would have also been some freakish Combine monsters, but that's hardly a surprise.

While many doubted the veracity of these pictures, Valve confirmed them on the Steam Forums, saying, "For the avoidance of doubt, I just want to stress that we absolutely would not release these pictures if we didn't know for a fact that they were real. They absolutely are.

"Please just enjoy them as they are, and try not to look for conspiracies that aren't there."
