Atlus has a new shooter coming out next year called God Mode. It's a bit like God of War on acid and has you and your buddies going to "hell in a toga," AKA Hades.

At least that's what the silly-sounding "spirit guide" in the trailer below calls it. He also says you'll be able to tailor your "worthless corpse" to your liking, outfitting yourself with various outfits and gear.

The story has something to do with you playing a god banished from Mount Olympus and sent to Hades, where you get to battle your way out. 

As far as gameplay goes, God Mode will feature both single player and co-op for up to 4 players - online and offline LAN. There will be 11 different weapons that can be modded and upgraded, powers fueled by a "Rage" mechanic, the ability to play different roles (assault, defensive, support, etc.), and in-game modifiers called Tests of Faith that can reportedly alter gameplay on the fly. 

God Mode will be out early next year and will cost 800 MSP ($10 in PSN land).
