The new trailer for Sleeping Dogs pulls no punches. Or kicks. Or knees. Or meat hook impalements, rusty broken pipe impalements, or slams into all sorts of dangerous implements.

Sleeping Dogs is what True Crime: Hong Kong eventually evolved into and on top of being all sandbox-y there is also a huge focus on the hand-to-hand combat aspect of the game. And that's what this trailer is all about. It shows the various ways you can seriously screw up someone's life with your bare hands, with weaponry, or with the environment around you.

It will also have a grappling mechanic, which has yet to be done well in any game that I've seen, so it will be interesting to see how it pans out.

Sleeping Dogs will be out August 14th.
