Gears of War 3 won't provide closure for every question

If you're expecting the final installment in the Gears of War series to answer each and every question you might have on it, then you might as well stop expecting now.

Cliff Bleszinski let it known that that was not the goal they set out for when the made the game. This was in response to the complaints that they got from some fans, who felt like they didn't make the most out of the storyline.

"I'm not going to defend our story here, those who love it and get it truly adore it. You can find plot holes in nearly anything, from Lord of the Rings to Dark Knight Story, like any art, can be somewhat subjective and is easy to pick on. "

Still, in the end, Bleszinski believes that they were able to do what they felt ought to have been done by Gears of War 3. "I believe we're getting better at storytelling with each effort and the critical consensus is that this is the best Gears narrative yet, and we'll keep doing better in the future. You can pick anything to shreds on the Internet because you've got the time and balls afforded to you by a keyboard and monitor."

If there's one thing about Cliff, it's that he protects and defends his games like a mother hen. Anyway, what do you think? Did you feel like there were way too many questions left unanswered in Gears of War 3 for your liking?

Regardless of how many complaints they get, there's still no denying that Gears of War 3 is the biggest launching title for 2011 thus far.

I felt like they rushed the story out so fanboys can play the "revamped multiplayer"

"balls afforded to you by a keyboard and monitor."
Balls have nothing to do with it, I haven't played any of the Gears series, so I dunno about their story, but if you've make a crap lackluster story, people aren't pointing it out cause they're attacking you personally, its cause you've made a crap lackluster story.

The story is generic as they come. The game is geared(no pun intended) to entertain people who plunked $40-$60 of their hard earned money. So I agree with what Bleszinski is implying: the Gears of War storyline is not oscar-type material.

It didn't answer why the queen looked human; they just kind of acknowledged it. I was honestly thinking that the Locust were going to be some kind of genetically engineered humans by Adam. If Adam and the Queen were working for a solution and the Locust were driven from underground, why did there have to be a war? Where DID the Imulsion come from? If it was brought by humanity to Sera, I can see the war scenario playing out, but if it's native to Sera, then why was there a war? I guess they'll answer these questions in a book, in the movie, or in another game. Who knows? Although I think Gears1 was by far the best campaign (it just felt awesome to finish it), I think Gears3 really had the best story AND gameplay. I remember playing the Gears2 campaign and getting bored with the environments and the enemies, but I played through Gears3 in almost one sitting and it never got old. I enjoyed each environment, and I couldn't wait for the next cut-scene. I think they could've answer some more questions, but I honestly think they did a great job.

Yeah, this game only answered things about other things that didn't matter, like how Tickers are made and where corpser's come from. But the only question's left unanswered for me were: "what were the sires being used for?Where do the locusts come from? Was Queen Myrah a human before? How do the locusts populate? How did Dom's sons die?" I don't know, the writer really stuck to the novel side of the story, and they never kept the true core of the storyline.I felt like she really messed it up,I don't know what to say about this game.I could say they did a good job on the multiplayer, but that was probably the only focus when they were making it.
