Who here plays Gears of War? Who here has already pre-ordered the highly anticipated game? Okay now which one of you out of the 1.3 million. According to Microsoft, there are more people who will be playing Gears of War 3 on launch day then live in Vatican City.

The third iteration in the series, may not finish the fight, but the developeres at Epic Games are more than pleased at the series numbers. Whether it's the pre-order incentives or simply the hype surrounding the finale in the franchise, the game has definitely got a draw with the DLC Season Pass that has been announced.

The Season Pass seems to be the best chance of the dream of game creator Cliffy B who hoped the game would break 10 million. Whether or not the game will is left to the gaming gods. To put it in a bit of perspective, Black Ops has sold over 16 million copies and the Kinect has sold 13 million, so whether or not Gears of War 3 will break the big 10 mil, is possible but not insane.

The game will be released on September 20^th and will be the end of a fairly lacklustre release of summer games and begin early for an insane amount of November releases.
