Thanks to Cliff Bleszinski, we now have the full details you'll need to know for the upcoming beta of Gears of war 3.

We're sure you'd want to know what exactly is going down once the beta hits in just a little under two weeks. First thing to know is the launch date of the beta.

If you got the access from buying Bulletstorm, you will be able to enter the beta on April 18th. If, however, you pre-ordered Gears of War 3, then you're going to have to wait a little bit longer, and get the beta on the 25th. Either way, you will need an Xbox Live Gold membership to be able to enjoy it all.

Be sure to log in at 9AM EST, regardless of the date. If all goes well smoothly, and we're crossing our fingers tightly for it, you should then be able to head over to the beta, and enjoy unlock weapons, medals and skins through the various achievements. These, of course, will also be made available in the full game.

Do note, however, that as it is a beta, you will not be able to enjoy the split-screen play. Don't worry, though, because the final game will let two players log in at the same time. However, multiple gamertags on HD will be able to enter the beta on one pass.

As for the playable maps and modes, here they are:

• Deathmatch on Thrashball
• Checkout
• Trenches
• Old Town
• Capture the Leader*
• King of the Hill *

* These will not be available upon beta launch, but will instead be released later on in the four-week course of the beta.
