Warner Bros helped out with the creation of indie title Bastion, which was a huge hit commercially and critically and it looks like in 2012 they'll be helping a lot more people out.

Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment has signed a new agreement with Codemasters to handle distribution for North and South America for their 2012 titles. The British devs were working with THQ, however after hundreds of layoffs, studio closures and a shuffle of staff and finances, Codemasters decided to go somewhere more stable.

Warner Bros has officially said they will be handling the next title in the DiRT series, Showdown, as well as the Formula One racing title, F1 2012.  It's actually not the first time Codemasters and WB have worked side by side as Codemasters helped with the launch of LOTR Online, the MMORPG based on the classic Tolkein tomes.

With a lot of UK Game developers starting to adjust their practices from the fallout of THQ it looks like people are looking to the US and other countries to possibly help them out. While developers like Rockstar and Rare are more or less fine, the guys at Codemasters have been doing this for over two decades and even started out making stuff to hack consoles. They've come a long way and luckily Warner Bros handle their properties well.
