Codemasters is bringing a new mode to F1 2012 called Champions Mode. This mode is playing on the fact that Formula One (AKA F1) is going to feature six champions this season. So in Champions Mode, one way or another you're going to be dealing with Lewis Hamilton, Kimi Raikkonen, Jenson Button, Fernando Alonso, Sebastian Vettel, or Michael Schumacher.

One of these guys is going to be your pain in the butt du jour in the race.

For example, in the Kimi Raikkonen challenge you are put in the role of one of Raikkonen's teammates at Spa Francorchamps. Once you join the race, you have to specifically overtake Raikkonen to win the race. Or, as the game's blurb puts it, "The player has just pitted and is on new tires while the rest of the pack is one worn rubber with three laps to go until the end of the race."
