Ó

Just yesterday I published a story about a political battle video game that encourages players to vote, and today I have received word that Microsoft is looking to start their own unique branded campaign by bringing the much debated global event straight to your Xbox 360. Starting this Monday, you'll begin to see that your console that once loved the color green has exchanged that hue for something red, white and blue.

So what can we expect from this console-based election coverage? By partnering up with NBC News, anyone interested will be able to log on to what will be called Xbox Live's Election Hub. There, you will be able to see all relevant news stories, information on each candidate and daily polls about our nation's biggest issues.

To put the Live back in Xbox Live, this promotion will also offer live coverage of every major debate and convention as they happen. This means that as the events are airing, the now daily polls will become live ones related to each question or relevant happening. In a sense then, the debates can become a communal experience through Xbox Live and its more politically inclined users. While I imagine any sort of chat will be disabled to quell violence, there is still a sense of involvement through the polling method.

Lastly and most importantly, you can (and should) register to vote right from your couch as well. It's always a great day to be a gamer, but it's even better to be a voter too. Microsoft is here to remind us of that.

Pretty neat! Actually now hardcore gamers that dont really care about anything else except gaming, can now do. Doesnt matter, perhaps they know is the actual next president, ppl still get fooled by campaings and politics speeches, is their strategy to detour the attention of the ppl to silly discussions, like who has the most potatoes chips in a bowl or who has the least dirty soul to be accounted as a good politician, but there's no such thing as that, neither lepricons or uniconrs or even cats with bursting rainbows off their butt.
