Apparently someone at EA pays attention to the ol' Interwebz, as they are taking the time to respond to all those Mass Effect 3 fans complaining that the Day 1 DLC, From Ashes, was already on the disc and that they paid $10 to access something they already paid for.

"From Ashes is a 600+ MB download with all new content," EA said in an official statement. "All the above content was completed while the main game was in certification and are not available on the disc.

"As stated previously, in order to seamlessly integrate Javik into the core campaign, certain framework elements and character models needed to be put on disc. We did something similar with Zaeed and Kasumi on Mass Effect 2."

BioWare has chimed in as well, saying that they didn't start working on From Ashes until Mass Effect 3 was in the can and backs up EA's "framework elements" claim.

Things that make you go hmmmm.

Screw the DLC right now, they need to pay attention to the ENDING.

Doesn't the ending depend on the choices you make in the game and the assets you have acquired by the end? I could be wrong but isn't there more than one way to end the game?
