Did EA just confirm Mirror's Edge 2? |

EA Games President Frank Gibeau may have just confirmed the existence of Mirror's Edge 2 and the engine it will be running on.
GameTrailers asked Gibeau if we may see a Mirror's Edge 2 running on the Frostbite 2 engine, to which he replied, "you'll see that combination, I'm sure."
"We haven't killed Mirror's Edge," continued Gibeau. "We're actively looking at how to bring it back in the right way. We love that franchise. The DICE guys really created something I think special the first time around. You've got to have a big idea to be able to do the next one and that's what we're working on."
Mirror's Edge wasn't exactly met with critical acclaim, but it was certainly a unique shooter. There have been rumblings about a new Mirror's Edge title for quite some time, and after EA said it is an "important franchise," rumors got even more hot. It looks like a new game may be coming in the future.

Mirror's Edge was never a shooter. It is a FPS game but caling it a shooter is akin to an insult.
