We first heard about CD Projekt RED working on a Cyberpunk game back in May. Now we have some more details on what is now called Cyberpunk 2077. The Witcher 2 developer has officially "lifted the lid" on the new IP, as they say, and promises to immerse players in "a world where advanced technologies have become both the salvation and the curse of humanity."

Cyberpunk 2077 will be an RPG with a big ol' sandbox for you to run around in, diverse action gameplay, a multi-thread, non-linear story, and will be for mature audiences. It will all go down in the "sprawling metropolis" of Night City and you'll also get to visit locations from the Cyberpunk 2020 tabletop RPG from the 1980s, such as "a combat zone completely taken over by gangs, the legendary Afterlife joint, and the nostalgic Forlorn Hope."

Of course, there will be a great arsenal of pistols, rifles, and all manner of hardware, plus gadgets and cybernetic implants.

No date or console has been revealed for Cyberpunk 2077 as of yet. How does this sound so far?
