Counting Down to a Crappy Future |
Listed in: News Tags: 4a games, metro: last light, THQ

The last we heard, Metro: Last Light (the sequel to the underrated Metro 2033) was delayed until 2013. Now the fellas at 4A Games have updated the game's website with a creepy-looking countdown clock that is counting down to next Thursday, May 24th. What's it counting down to exactly? Why, a live-action short film of course.
Now, the game is being developed in Ukraine, but don't hold that against it. The quality of most live-action movies based on video games aside, Metro 2033 was a true treasure that is often overlooked. It's based on a novel and set in the Moscow of the future, after an apocalypse that sees weird mutants running the show and humans living below ground in the old Metro tunnels, hence the name. Besides the mutants and monsters, you also have to contend with Russian Nazis from the future running around in the tunnels. Oh yeah.
As always this time of year, expect more info at E3.
