Capcom: We're aiming to make the perfect Devil May Cry game |
Listed in: News Tags: Capcom, dmc: devil may cry, Ninja Theory

A vocal portion of the Devil May Cry fanbase have voiced their concerns about the latest entry in the franchise ever since Capcom unveiled it late last year. One of the major changes in the game, which is being made by Enslaved and Heavenly Sword developer Ninja Theory, is that it features a younger Dante. No long, flowing white hair for this Dante, either.
The major makeover as well as the fact that Capcom is handing the series over to Ninja Theory has left a bad taste in a few fans' mouths, but Capcom believes that these people will change their tune once they get to play DmC.
Posting on Capcom's European message boards, one company rep posting under the username onlyonet assured fans that they are keeping a close eye on the development of DmC.
"As for concerns over NT development skills please don’t worry," the rep posted. "Capcom are heavily involved in the development of all its IP being worked upon by outside parties. The exact same concerns were raised over Dead Rising 2 being made by Blue Castle games, which were totally ill founded, on what was an excellent game that ‘got’ everything that made the first game so amazing."
"We haven’t handed over the family silver to some strangers; we are working with Ninja Theory on this together," the rep continued. "We believe that by going down this route we can breath new life into the franchise and make a game that sits above DMC3 for this generation."
The rep further stated that combining Capcom and Ninja Theory's skills together will result in "one of the greatest DMC titles ever created", even surpassing earlier games in the series. "Let's be honest they were great games (averaging in the low 80′s on metacritic) but not perfect," posted onlyonet. "We’re now aiming to make the perfect DMC game that gets 90′s."

And get with the program, not every person who calls something gay is a homophobe. It's today's talk. I'm tired of that "When you say gay, do you know what you're really saying" bullshit XD.
But on topic, I hate the new Dante. With a passion. Maybe he'll grow on me, but right now, it's retarded.

How about if you don't think of it as DMC, just call it a DMC like game, you know like Bayonetta?
Or whenever the game comes out people are going to be hypocrites.
Plus what the hell do you expect a half-human half demon to look like?

I'm a huge fan of the original Dante but that doesn't give me the right to make an assumption that this game is going to suck. I'll be really mad if they do this and the story sucks as bad as DMC4. Then they could have just stuck wit the original Dante.

This new Dante looks fun, who wouldn't wanna play a psychopath in a hack and slash game?
Plus i really didn't want to play the old Dante for a 5th game, he was getting really boring, we know everything about him. We need a new character that we know nothing of, that can surprise us with something new and unexpected. lol
So everyone clam your shit and play the game before u judge it.
