Bummer: Deep Silver Delays THQ Acquisition Metro: Last Light |
Listed in: News Tags: 4a games, Deep Silver, metro: last light
Deep Silver snatched up Metro: Last Light amidst the THQ shake up, which was great news for the fans. For better or worse, however, they're going to be taking a couple extra months to make sure the game is extra polished. It was originally supposed to be out in March, but now the game's been pushed back to May 14th.
"The new release date is the ideal way to strike the balance between bringing out the best of Metro: Last Light and not keep the fans waiting longer than necessary," Koch Media CEO Dr. Klemens Kundratitz said.
"We won't leave that time unexploited and will work closely with 4A Games to make the game even better. It will receive all the attention it deserves."
Menno van der Bill, Deep Silver's international commercial director, added, "Since it has been made public that we took over the Metro franchise, the fans keep asking for a release date.
"Now we can finally announce when they will be able to get their hands on the game! We would like to thank all the Metro fans for their patience. And we can assure them that we have a lot more coming their way with the franchise."
So keep on waiting, Metro fans.
