Brother in Arms: Furious 4 is Now Something...Different |
Listed in: News Tags: brothers in arms: furious 4, gearbox, Ubisoft

Brothers in Arms: Furious 4 was already going off in a strange direction, that much was already known. In the words of the developer, it had "Evolved Quite a Lot." As it turns out, Gearbox has taken this thing so far off the rails that it's no longer even a Brothers in Arms game.
Gearbox CEO and co-founder Randy Pitchford said during PAX Prime that it's now an entirely new IP. "They [Gearbox] kind of started to go in a place that started to get a little way from what the core of what the Brothers in Arms brand is all about...it needed to be unshackled," he said.
Pitchford also said that the game would be "re-announced" on September 15th during Gearbox's Community Day in Dallas. Color us intrigued.
The trailer below looked like the game was already going in an Inglourious Basterds direction, so it will be interesting to see what this thing has morphed into. Let us know your thoughts.
