Three images from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 leaked earlier today, ahead of the formal announcement that is set to kick off tonight during the NBA playoffs on TNT. The images confirm what many thought; that the game would be set in the future. They all feature the Quadrotors that were in FPS Russia's YouTube video from last week and give us a look at the soldier of the future, who looks pretty much like you'd expect him too. We've had plenty of other shooters that have explored this; let's see if COD can do anything different with it.
Of course, many have already pointed out that the washed-out brown color palette that so many detest is still there, which has become a hallmark I suppose.
Activision has also confirmed these images as the real deal, stating, "Pushing the boundaries of what fans have come to expect from the record-setting entertainment franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 propels players into the near future, 21st Century Cold War, where technology and weapons have converged to create a new generation of warfare."
The COD website also confirms the rumored release date of November 13th.
