Black Ops II and Minecraft were Kings of XBLA in 2012

It comes as no real surprise, but Call of Duty: Black Ops II was the king of Xbox Live in 2012.  Minecraft didn’t do so shabby either.

Microsoft has revealed its rankings of the top games on Xbox Live for the past year.  The rankings were highlighted by Black Ops II, which was the most played game on the service based on unique users per day. 

 

 

As for full versions of games purchased on Xbox Live Arcade, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition topped the list.  You can check out the full lists of the most played and most purchased games on Xbox Live below:
