BioShock: Infinite - Do More Staff Losses Spell Trouble? |
Listed in: News Tags: bioshock, bioshock infinite, Irrational Games

Two more guys have left the dev team working on BioShock: Infinite at Irrational Games. This time around it's lead AI designer Don Norbury and lead combat designer Clint Bundrick. Both have left to go work at Microsoft. Who knows what they're working on over there.
These two are just the latest to leave the team, with art director Nate Wells leaving for Naughty Dog (Uncharted, The Last of Us) back in August, while producer Joseph Faulstick and product development lead Tom Gerritson left earlier in the year as well. Conversely, Gears of War trilogy exec producer Rod Fergusson left Epic Games to join the Infinite team. So maybe it all evens out.
Should BioShock fans be worried about this third game? Or is all well as long as Ken Levine is at the helm? What do you think?

But, it's BioShock. People will fall all over themselves to call it brilliant regardless.

I have no idea why it was delayed, but my guess was for bugs or some other issue. I don't think the two guys who left would have much input at this stage of the game - their jobs seem to be more of an initial building block in the game, not something that needs to be worked out at this late stage.
