Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel is Beautifully Brown |

Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel will be different for a variety of reasons, though none of them happen to be four-player co-op as was once rumored. Tyson and Rios have been replaced by their employees Alpha and Bravo (though the employees have donned T.W.O.'s trademark masks - everyone needs a schtick I suppose), the game mechanics have been switched around a bit, and a new studio is making the game with the Frostbite 2 engine.
As you can see in the narrated gameplay vid below, we get the trademark destructible environments that let you know this is Frostbite and everything looks pretty crisp considering it's all cast in various shades of brown.
Gameplay wise, narrator and Executive Producer Julian Beak explains that although the aggro meter has been removed technically, it's still there "under the hood." Aggro was a fun mechanic attached to various guns that let you and your partner really divvy up your roles in the game; it will be interesting to see how things shake out without this mechanic.
It looks like much, if not all, of the trademark over-the-top humor and the like has been removed as well. Let's hope this and the other changes don't turn Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel into just another third-person shooter, albeit one with co-op.
