Another Fantasy RPG Coming in the Form of Mistborn: Birthright |

Brandon Sanderson recently announced on his blog that a video game based on his novels was coming out fall of 2013. It's going to be called Mistborn: Birthright, it will be put together by Sanderson, Little Orbit, and Game Machine Studios, and is said to be an "action RPG."
What seems to set Sanderson's world apart from standard fantasy is what he calls "Allomancy," meaning magic that relies on certain types of metal to function. The Allomancer ingests and "burns" the metal to give them their powers over different types of metals...or something. From what I've read it involves using metal objects like coins (and maybe bigger, sharper things) as projectiles, being able to push yourself away from large metal objects (armored knights maybe), and enhancing your senses.
So all in all, it sounds like it would be perfect for a video game.
Sanderson, as it says in the press release on his blog, is no stranger to video games, as he wrote Infinity Blade II and calls himself an avid gamer. As far as non-gaming credentials go, he has also written in Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series.
If you've read the books, this game is said to be set hundreds of years before the time of the books, during the early days of The Final Empire.

Hey, get it right; it was "Brithright." You misspelled my misspelling!
But seriously, thanks. I fixed it.
