Eric Hirshberg, publishing boss at Activision, claims the company is more than just Call of Duty and World of Warcraft.

"I can't tell you how many times I'm asked, 'Well, what if one of those two [Call of Duty and World of Warcraft] falters?' We're making some pretty big bets and we're placing some pretty good resources behind them... I feel that that's a story that gets undertold about Activision," Hirshberg said.

"I don't feel like Activision gets credit for the support it gives to the big ideas we get behind. And when we get behind something, we get behind something big. ...I think it is an unfair characterization to say that that's all we've got. ...You're going to see a pretty big investment in a new IP in Skylanders. You're going to see us doubling down on Prototype with Prototype 2. You're going to see Bungie coming in the coming months and years - that's a huge investment in new intellectual property and a new gaming universe. These are all things that take real innovation."

Can Modern Warfare 3 outsell its predecessor? Find out here.

For me only activision thinks it self has been a part of WOW, as far as i'm concerned WoW was and it'll always be blizzard's title, activison may have bought blizzard but it'll never be truly theirs, if that day comes we will sure see blizzard's end.

That's right. Instead of more than, you ARE Call of Duty and World of Warcraft! Huzzah for late realization!

No matter what we say if where not buying there game we will rent it. Like me. I know Call of Duty is gonna fall soon. Hopefully. Big fan of the COD series I just don't wanna see it get worse with another company doing a COD Title. Leave it to Infinity Ward, well whats left of them. Let Treyarch, Sledgehammer studios, & Ravensoft make there own games and leave COD to IW please. Blizzard needs to put Activision in its place. Just because they bought the company (Partner) with them doesn't make it right for Activision to put there stupid company all over it. Activision your pretty damn pathetic.

I just see Activision like a huge Octopus reaching out with it's arms grabbing it's prey(smaller developers) and they always know there's this huge beak ready to devour them if they struggle in any way, eg: West & Zampella so they have no option but to just switch their brains off and follow use hive mentality, and as much as Activision protest saying they still the same group of passionate developers that started out they are nothing but a heartless corporation with shareholders calling all the shots.
