We knew this was coming, but now we're getting a better look at it in the form of a trailer. What if George Washington had accepted the crown offered him at the end of the Revolutionary War? And what if there was some half-English, half-Native American assassin from Assassin's Creed III out to stop him?

Assassin's Creed III's "The Tyranny of King Washington" DLC will answer all that for us. It's purely single player content and explores an even more radical alternate history than you find in the Assassin's Creed games over three episodes.

Apparently some fans have been up in arms over this, but it is true that George Washington was offered a kingship at the end of the Revolutionary War. Being the man he was, he turned it down and didn't become another "King George." But what if he didn't? It should be fun to find out.
