360 exclusives are to value quality over quantity says 360 Exec |

In a recent interview with Game Informer, Vice President of Microsoft, Phil Spencer discussed Microsoft's properties and their IP's. Spencer said that Microsoft will still "remain committed to the core gamer" with the 360 but creating that core "isn't an easy thing. We do think that it's fundamental that core gamers look at 360 as the place they want to play games," which is good, despite the release of the multiple online channels and new updates which careened the XBLIG menus into a deep dark corner of the online store.
Spencer did comment on the release of the Kinect and their recent family friendly image saying that despite the paltry lineup of the Kinect in 2011, that he does "think about quality and impact, not number of releases in the year." This is a strong suit for Microsoft as it is often Nintendo who get stuck with the damaging figures for shovelware titles, which have luckily died off in recent years, but will definitely linger the creation of a new series of consoles. It's good to see Microsoft's humility in the light of day and I hope that 2012 is a good year for exclusives.

The only exclusives that matters are 360's?
