The dreaded “Black Screen of Death” can be seen in the pictures below that were posted on the xbox-scene forums. Apparently this was a Wal-Mart kiosk, when they guy went in to check it out, he was greeted with this nice view. He also mentioned that the glass on the kiosk was hot to the touch, which brought up the theory that these are mostly heat related issues (this has been floating around for a while now). Doesn't sony already have some problems with their heatsync? Anyhow those dumb walmart people/xbox people who set those booths up are dumba** people. Any system in those conditions would go bye bye. Knowing them they made it so its super tight and super secure. Only problem is that they also made it a microwave.... heh not bad if you wanna play the xbox games and cook egg's while your at it. The powerbar alone is problably whats causing it to heatup inside.

it's not the walmart people, it's some idiot at MS who decided to put a next gen heat machine in a tiny plastic case(sometimes a little space behind glass) and run it all day and expect no problems. oh ya, it's a heat sink, not a sync.

if yall think about it there is nothing wrong. all that happened is some kid or some dumbass just kicked it or did something like that. there is no heat malfunction or else we would be waiting for another 3 months for the 360 to come out. thats all it is. some red neck probably just spit his dip out into where the disks go in and it just jammed it or somethign

why are some ppl so damn picky heat issues? HELLO the damn kiosk has the 360 on practically 24 hours a day its walmart its obvious heat would build up with such abmormal extended play on a system, i guess i should post around that the 360 has a defective controler since the button was worn out too lol.

This could be anything. Just think on what these console might have gone threw just to be at these walmarts in time. Ofcourse they will have bugs, if sony had some PS3's in a few walmarts they would have (more than likey) Brust into flames a burnt down half the store. Even years after launch dates console still have problems, some Xboxs have memory issues and I dont know one person with a old school PS2 that actually works the way that they are suspose to. I think that MS and the Xbox team know how to make a good console, well better than the PS2 anyways. So just have a little faith and dont listen to those little Playstation live in my parents basement fanclub guys. They would know what a good console was if they had it for years and it never had any issues.

Hmmmm.. Microsoft... Windows.... Blue screen of death. OS always crashing....Hmmmmm not surprised...they may have a service pack out before the 360 release. 360SP1 HEHEHEHEHE!!!!
