Video game publisher Nexon has something to clarify about the Dungeon Fighter Online news that came out a few days ago. Don't worry, the Xbox Live Arcade version is real and is still being released. The clarifications just concern the pricing startegy they're taking for the online beat 'em up.
According to gaming news blog Siliconera, Dungeon Fighter Online will not be "freemium" --- free to download, but you'll have to cough up some cash if you want to buy in-game items -- like its PC version after all. Nexon will be releasing it as a full, paid downloadable game. Microsoft has also revealed that the game will have online multiplayer features but didn;t say anything more about the subject.
Dungeon Fighter Online's XBLA version is being developed by Magna Carta 2 developer Softmax. Nexon is giving the downloadable game a pretty wide release, with localizations being done on English, Korean, Chinese, French, Spanish, Italian, German, and Japanese versions.
