It seems Konami might have more in store for Silent Hill fans other than Silent Hill: Downpour. Rumor has it that the publisher is looking into the possibility of a downloadable chapter that will be multiplayer only.
Silent Hill: Downpour's art director, Radek Marek, reportedly revealed this interesting little nugget in an interview with Xbox 360 Magazine Italy. When asked by the mag in an interview about multiplayer in the game, this was Marek's answer:
"At the moment there will be no multiplayer modes in Silent Hill: Downpour, but konami are investigating a separate chapter devoted entirely to the Multiplayer. We do not know the details but it should be an XBLA title that most players have to survive in the town of Silent Hill."
Silent Hill: Downpour follows Murphy Pendleton, a convict stranded in the foggy, malevolent world of Silent Hill when when his prison transport bus crashes on the outskirts of the town.
Neither Konami nor developer Vatra have yet confirmed the existence of this downloadable multiplayer game. Silent Hill: Downpour is currently slated to be released this fall on PS3 and Xbox 360.
