Shadow Complex sequel "largely designed" |

Epic Games subsidiary Chair Entertainment promised gamers a sequel to the 2009 Xbox Live hit, Shadow Complex, before, and we might not have to wait too long for it to come out.
Speaking to gaming news site Gamasutra, Epic design director Cliff Bleszinski revealed that Shadow Complex 2 has already been "largely designed". All that's needed for it to be pushed out onto the market is a partner to help them finish it up.
"Shadow Complex 2 is sitting there, it's actually largely designed, we just need to find a partner that will help us to finish it so we can bring it to market," Bleszinski said.
The Gears of War mastermind also intimated that the original Shadow Complex stood a chance of being the studio's flagship title for Apple's iOS devices, but the conceptualization of Chair's Infinity Blade put that idea to rest.
"We needed a flagship product for iOS, plain and simple," Bleszinski said. "And we could have ported Shadow Complex, but it would have been a lot of work and it might not have been the right fit. And then Donald Mustard suggested Punch Out!! with swords with RPG layers and we were like, 'Yes!'"
It's worth noting that the original Shadow Complex was published by Microsoft, which presumably played a large part in it being an Xbox Live exclusive. Perhaps Epic will find a new publishing partner for the sequel who's willing to put it out on PSN as well. That way, more people can partake in the action.
