Rumor mill pegs Fable IV for 2013, Duke Nukem getting reboot |

If you're one of those Fable fans who only want to play the numbered entries in the series, then you might have to wait a couple more years before you get to do so. In its October 2011 issue, Official Xbox Magazine predicts that Fable IV will be arriving sometime in 2013. Unlike Fable: The Journey, Fable IV is expected to be a proper, controller-based game.
The Lionhead franchise isn't the only one that the mag thinks will be getting a new entry. The long-running Duke Nukem brand has recently been re-energized quite a bit with the release of the oft-delayed Duke Nukem Forever. Rumor is that developer Gearbox will be going down the reboot road with Duke Nukem Begins, but development won't be starting until after Aliens: Colonial Marines is complete.
The final piece of rumor concerns the Doom franchise. id Software has said a lot of positive things about the graphical heights they've reached with Rage, but all of those are expected to be outdone by the next Doom. One thing, though: OXM thinks that while it will look better than Rage, the next Doom will be running at 30fps. Sounds like something John Carmack wouldn't be quite comfortable with, considering the pains id took to make sure that Rage runs at 60.
