Rockstar: L.A. Noire 2? "Eventually." |
Listed in: Games Tags: la noire 2, rockstar games rumours, Team Bondi
I remember I had done a small trailer for L.A. Noire a couple of years ago, complete with my own amazing (ly shit) music, and people around the Team Bondi studio had watched it and said they liked it. I liked them in return. Thus I was sad when I heard of their dissolution last year, as LA Noire was one of the more notable and unique videogames of recent times.

But alas, Rockstar have done well again to satisfy my soul with a Q&A with fans. In their ‘Asked and Answered’ programme (which I think more major developers should do) they said not to ‘count out the possibility of a new game in the L.A. Noire franchise’ and went on to say that they simply ‘haven’t decided anything’.
They also go on to say how pleased they are with how the game turned out and are indeed considering what the future may hold for it as a series. They also say to look at ‘Max and Red Dead as evidence’ that just because they’re not rushing to make sequels, it doesn't mean that they ‘won’t get around to them eventually’.
I like Rockstar.
Stay tuned, as this is, as far as I see, as close to a confirmation as one could get at this stage.

Update LA for later times maybe 1950, who wants another game in exactly the same place?
New people, new script and sh*t like that.
I'd say 5 years tops

I'd like to see Rockstar finally getting around to tackling The Teamsters in the 70's in Vegas.
Thye've dance AROUND it for so long now, covering almost every other world of cinema; the Leone Westerns (Red Dead), The Scorcese/Tarantino controversial/pop-culture/crime epics (Grand Theft Auto) and 40-60's film noires. I really want to see them wrap up the Scorsese circle and do something in the world of Casino.

Inbetween big projects like these, there will be ports of various oldies, offcourse, like it was the case with GTA 3.
