November has always been a very important month for fans of Activision's Call of Duty franchise since it has commonly been the release month for new Call of Duty games. The next entry in the series is expected to be released this November as well, but the question that remains unanswered is, when exactly? Eurogamer reckons it has the answer.

The gaming new site reports that according to an internal database from UK retailer Tesco, the next Call of Duty will be coming out on November 8th. The game is widely expected to be Modern Warfare 3, although the database lists it under the name Call of Duty: Project Colossus.

Neither Activison nor Tesco have commented on the veracity of the leaked database. Voice actor Craig Fairbrass, who voiced Gaz in Modern Warfare and Ghost in Modern Warfare 2, has hinted that more details on the game will be revealed this month. E3's also just around the corner, so chances are it won't be long before Activision turns the hype machine on.

Since Treyarch made last year's Call of Duty: Black Ops, it's now Infinity Ward's turn. This next entry will be the first since Infinity Ward heads Vince Zampella and Jason West's much publicized split from the Activision-owned studio. Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software will reportedly help out in the development of the singleplayer and multiplayer modes, respectively.

I hear it's gonna be a prequel to CoD4. Will Capt. Price keep his lordly moustache?

Wow this is huge news, I never would have guessed CoD would have been released early to mid November, i mean I genuinely paniced about whether it was the 8th or 15th for the release.
