EA and Danger Close will be running a Medal of Honor: Warfighter open beta this October prior to the scheduled October 23 release. Players who take part in the beta will be rewarded with 60 minutes of Double XP when the full game launches. Oh yeah it sounds good right? Well EA has thrown the gauntlet to all of you MoH fans. If the beta manages to gather 3 million players they will release the new Linkin Park music video “Castle of Glass” early as a reward.
The Medal of Honor: Warfighter beta will be debuting a brand new multiplayer mode called HotSpot. In HotSpot players will attack and defend randomly selected locations on the Sarajevo Stadium map. But that’s not all that’s new. Players will also be able to pair-up and play through the real-life inspired co-op Fireteam system.
Unfortunately the beta will only be available for a short period of time in early October and only on the Xbox 360… yeah I know. I’m a PlayStation guy and I’m missing out too, so I feel your pain if you too are a PS3 owner.
