‘Mind-blowing’ says CVG, ‘More than just a graphical powerhouse’ says Gamesradar, ‘a push forward for linear action games as a story telling medium’.

Rockstar obviously aren’t going to include bad comments on their site, but with no less than six different (and major) sources, including The Guardian , it seems pretty unanimous; Max Payne 3 looks to be another Rockstar hit. GameSpot have uploaded a 10 minute video Q&A regarding the game which gives a nice little insight into how things will be.

The latest Rockstar title I played was Red Dead Redemption and  both those CVG and Gamesradar quotes were my thoughts when playing that, so seeing if Max Payne can topple the story telling and shooting of that will be a treat.

The game hits US shores on May 15^th with European, Japanese and Australian releases all hitting the following Friday.

The PC version (Rockstar seem to have been listening to the demands of a PC port of Red Dead Redemption) hits Australia the same date as the console release, with the US getting it on the 29th and Europe being the last, getting it on the 1st of June.
