343 Industries unveiled details on the three map packs, saying that they would be released between December 2012 and April 2013.  Players will be able to purchase the map packs at a 15 percent discount via the Halo 4 War Games Map Pass priced at $24.99 (2,000 Microsoft Points), which also includes an in-game Falcon emblem.  If you buy the Halo 4 Limited Edition, you’ll get the Map Pass as part of the package.

As for the map packs themselves, here’s the breakdown:

  • Crimson Map Pack (December 2012) – includes the Wreckage, Harvest, and Shatter maps.
  • Majestic Map Pack (February 2013) – includes the Landfall, Monolith, and Skyline maps.
  • Castle Map Pack (April 2013) – includes the Daybreak, Outcast, and Perdition maps.

Is Halo 4 in your gaming plans?
