It’s been a pretty long road in terms of the development of Dishonored, but the stealth-action title’s developers have proudly announced that the game is finally complete.

Dishonored’s publisher Bethesda Softworks announced that the game is ready to go thanks to the hard work of the folks at Arkane Studios, so if you were looking to pick it up on October 9 when it ships for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, you won’t have to worry about any pesky delays.

If you’re unfamiliar with Dishonored, it’s a first-person action title set the fictional industrial city of Dunwall where you take control of an assassin/bodyguard named Corvo throughout a variety of action-packed missions.  The game gets a boost from several celebrity voices, such as Brad Dourif (Lord of the Rings), Susan Sarandon (Dead Man Walking), and Carrie Fisher (Star Wars).  Dishonored apparently took three years to complete, so it should be interesting to see if all that hard work translates into a great game.
