In a recent presentation to investors, Capcom revealed that it expects its new IP, Dragon's Dogma, to shift around 1.5 million units in sales. Pretty high expectations for a new IP, but there are actually games from established franchises that Capcom hopes will sell even more.
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is the top dog when it comes to the company's sales forecast. Capcom expects the Slant Six-developed survival horror / team-based shooter to sell somewhere around 2.5 million copies. The game is currently slated for a PS3 and Xbox 360 release this winter.
The company is also quite bullish with Street Fighter X Tekken, which is expected to sell 2 million copies. The collaborative mashup between Capcom and Namco Bandai has yet to be given a proper release date but Capcom plans to have it out before the financial year ends.
On the other end of the spectrum is Dead Rising 2: Off the Record. Compared to the titles above, Capcom doesn't expect too much from this Dead Rising 2 reimagining, placing the sales forecst at only 800,000 units. We'll see how it does when it comes out this fall on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
