Xbox 360 gamers are in for a hell of a lot of bullets and missile explosion effects. D3Publisher has set a date for Bangai-O HD: Missile Fury's release on the Microsoft home video game console.

The Treasure-developed shooter is now slated to hit Xbox Live Arcade on May 4. It'll be available for purchase and download for 800 Microsoft Points.

Here's a look at what you should expect to encounter in the game. A feature list is also further below.

• Action Shooter Gameplay with Puzzle Elements – Get ready for an omni-directional, explosive sensory overload onscreen as you fight off thousands of missiles, conquer challenging obstacles through strategic trial and error, and collect quirky powerups to create Combo Attacks that annihilate your enemies.
• Powerful Level Editor Tool – Design and perfect your own original levels to play and share, either from scratch or by editing any of the existing levels of the game!
• Developed by Award Winning, Renowned Japanese Videogame Developer TREASURE –TREASURE’s unique design style is highly evident in the insane gameplay, from the types of enemies gamers face to the award system of collecting different types of fruit to advance, the new combo system and everything in between.
• Wide Variety of Weapons and Tactics – Weapons include missiles, homing missiles, lasers and napalms that players can detonate at breathtaking speed!
• New Combo System – Direct target hits can be strung together to create destructive combos and as combos increase, so does the player’s devastating multi-directional counter attack which gives them an ultimate, explosive advantage.
