White had struck gold recently in more then one way. In addition to
winning the gold medal in the halfpipe snowboarding event in the Winter
Olympics, he has teamed up with Ubisoft to announce their new line of
current and next-gen snowboarding names based on White's snowboarding
style.White is rumored to be collaborating closely with Ubisoft developers on the game, and is an avid gamer himself. "I'm stoked to be working with Ubisoft to develop a video game that captures the thrill of snowboarding like no game has done before," White said. "I'm a huge fan of Ubisoft games like Prince of Persia, so I'm excited to be able to combine what I love about snowboarding and gaming into an experience for everyone to enjoy."
At 19 years old White is admired as one of the top snowboarders in the world. The only snowboarder ever to win the Winter X Games gold in both halfpipe and slopestyle AND in his gold medal performance in the Olympics, White pulled off a back-to-back 1080-degree rotation grabbing his board on both and leaving the audiences stunned. Look for a release of his new titles sometime in 2007.
