Did you know that WiiMotion Plus almost didn't make it to the Zelda: Skyward Sword cut? This trivia was revealed by no less than producer Eiji Aonuma, in a recent interview with IGN.
According to his revelation, the game had already been in development for some couple of months without the WiiMotion Plus feature in the scene, until developer Katsuya Eguchi helped bring it back to the developing table.

Almost didn't happen.
"Mr. Eguchi came to me and said, 'Look at all these things you can do with Motion Plus, why wouldn't you use this in a Zelda game? It would be strange not to!'"
And with that, the WiiMotion Plus was immediately put back in the grind, thanks to Eguchi's decisive insistence. Zelda: Skyward Sword is coming out exclusively for the Wii this holiday season.
This year marks the franchise's 25th Anniversary, and to celebrate it, Nintendo confirmed at this year's E3 that it will be getting an orchestral tour. They also showed off some Zelda tech demo on Wii U footage.
