Those Damn Video Game Injuries Again

Every once in a while, the media takes a break from latching onto everything else and making it seem like a threat and latches onto video games as a source of corrupting the youth or something else awful. This time, they're here to let us know that video games are coming to hurt your kids.

A little over a month ago, the little girl in the video below managed to break her foot while playing the Wii. She got a little carried away and her mother (yes, her mother, not Nintendo) apparently didn't move the coffee table far enough out of the way.

The doctor interviewed relates some other injuries he's seen, such as Wii-damaged rotator cuffs and some guy who whacked his hand on a ceiling fan while playing and required surgery, but seems pretty level-headed about the whole thing.

I guess this is why thoseguys.tv did the report-that-turned-out-to-be-a-parody a few months back about "the girl who lost her feet to video games." The injuries were real, but unrelated to video games.

Have at it.

and quick! look for any other story that's slightly related, so we can show a "pattern" and loosely tie them together into an event that will threaten the entire planet!

I'm surprised the American Wii controllers aren't legally made to have huge warning stickers and have various different beeps everytime you turn it on or move it.
