Nintendo Dismisses Zelda: Twilight Princess Rumors |

Nintendo has gone on record to dismiss rumours that highly anticipated adventure game The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will no longer appear on the GameCube.
Speaking to our sister site, Eurogamer, Nintendo UK's PR Manager said: "Nintendo has always said that The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will appear on Nintendo GameCube and this is still very much the case."
When Nintendo issued a statement in August announcing that Twilight Princess had slipped to 2006, many anticipated a first-quarter release. But when the game didn't appear on Nintendo's Q1 release list announced late last week, rumours began to fly that the game would launch on the next-generation Revolution console.
One journalist questioned Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aime on the subject at last week's Gamers summit. Fils-Aime, who said he was speaking on behalf of both Nintendo president Satoru Iwata and designer Shigeru Miyamoto, said that all parties concerned wanted to see Twilight Princess on the GameCube.
The game was originally due out in this Christmas, but a delay until 2006 was announced in August. Nintendo said the extra development time was needed "to add some incredible new elements" to the game.
