Nintendo calls for a conference on September |
Listed in: News Tags: Nintendo

The Wall Street Journal reports that the conference will be happening specifically on September 13th, and shall be called (not surprisingly) the Nintendo Conference. Basically, it's going to be a trade show "open to industry people, analysts, investors and journalists, but not to consumers."
Too bad on that last part, but given that strict stipulation on attendees, it feels like it's going to be one exclusive unveiling of something. As to what that something could be, we can only guess for now. We'll just have to rely on the media folks that will be lucky enough to be invited to the Nintendo Conference for us to find out what is the big deal, really.
The company has been getting criticisms as of late, particularly with the slow sales of the 3DS and the subsequent price cut for it. Rumors are now swirling about rampantly that a new and redesigned 3DS is currently in the works. As to the veracity of this rumor, we'll have to find out from the Nintendo Conference.

I have a 3DS, will get the extra circle pad thingy and, inevitably, buy the redesign too.
The Vita can feck off though, the PS3 ylod soured it for me and I'm not interested in putting money in their pockets again for a long time.
